Homelessness, drug addiction and mental health issues often limit or prevent marginalized citizens from using conventional health services. Using emergency services instead increases demand for ambulances, emergency rooms and hospital beds - services which are much more expensive.

The marginalized populations that we serve include people who are street involved or homeless, aboriginal people, sex trade workers, women and people who are gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgender or queer.

Many of those who are street involved or homeless also live with HIV and/or hepatitis C, as well as mental health challenges, drug and alcohol dependencies, or other chronic health conditions.

Your support of the ACCESS Health Centre will help provide the full range of health care services needed by Victoria's most vulnerable residents including prevention education, counselling, food and nutrition support.
